By justice a king gives a country stability, but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down. Proverbs 29:4 (NIV)
“Bah humbug,” is what Ebenezer Scrooge, from the film A Christmas Carol, would say to anything or anyone that was or being merry. The only thing that Scrooge cared for in all of the world was his money, and getting more and more and more. Because of his love for money be lost the love of his fiance, became a bitter, old, merciless and a very lonely man whose sole desire is to suck as much money out of his clients as he possibly can. Because of the years of bitterness and disappointment Scrooge had come to absolutely hate everything and everyone, no matter how much money he collected he was never happy. After Scrooge had made his incredible journey because of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, he became as merry as a schoolboy and was surrounded by people who love him for the rest of his life.

Bah Humbag!
The love of money, or anything of worth, will bring you joy, but it is only temporary. What’s worse is that it will never be enough, no matter how much money you obtain, no matter how much land you own, or how many toys you get for Christmas, they can never bring you the Joy that God promises, all they do is tear your down. The Joy that God gives you lasts forever, never tainted, and never dull. Christmas is a time to remember that this is the Day that the Savior of the world was born, a time of great Joy indeed. As Tiny Tim said “God bless us everyone.”
